My Story
Gloria J. Scott, a recognized community change agent, works tirelessly on behalf of the under-served youth of Pam Beach County. She serves on the board of directors for the Miley Miller Foundation, Inc. Mrs. Scott has gained valuable experience helping youth achieve educational, professional, and personal success. Her insight has proven to be invaluable in her work on the board.

Mrs. Scott currently works as an administrator and youth program coordinator with the Salvation Army’s Northwest Community Center. In her role, Mrs. Scott has been instrumental in developing after-school learning and engagement programs for the children of West Palm Beach.
In July of 2010, the National Urban League named Mrs. Scott the national “Caring Adult of The Year”. In 2003, Gloria joined the Urban League of Palm Beach County as an Associate Program Manager for a contracted program. Gloria led several community programs and worked specifically with schools on initiatives designed to provide valuable experiences for the youth of Palm Beach County.

In 2006, Gloria was recognized for her dedication and superior management skills when she was promoted to the role of NULITES Coordinator. Under Gloria’s guidance, the NULITES program (National Urban League Incentive to Excel and Succeed) has won chapter of the year 2003, 2006, 2007 2010, and 2011. Also, in 2013 Mrs. Scott was awarded the Youth Vanguard Award. An outstanding accomplishment made possible based on Mrs. Scott’s leadership and commitment.
Mrs. Scott is a native of Riviera Beach and a graduate of Suncoast High School. Mrs. Scott is the mother of four and she has nine grandchildren.
