Our Team

Education is not a single moment—it is a lifelong pathway. By addressing both educational access and the surrounding needs that support learning, the Miley Miller Foundation
helps individuals not only enroll—but persist, complete, and thrive.

We work to ensure the pathway remains accessible by supporting:

A Letter from the Founders

Dear Friends and Partners,

Education is a bridge between potential and what is possible.

That belief is at the heart of the Miley Miller Foundation, and it is deeply personal to us. We founded MMF in 2020 in honor of our mothers, Edna Whitaker and Mary Miller—women who deeply believed that education could open doors to opportunity, meaningful careers, and self-sufficiency. Their values shaped our lives and inspired us to create a foundation grounded in access, dignity, and empowerment through learning.

MMF began by supporting college students and adults returning to school, many of whom were balancing work, family responsibilities, and financial uncertainty. Early partnerships with the University of Missouri–St. Louis and Palm Beach State College allowed us to provide scholarships, emergency assistance, and internship housing support at moments when staying enrolled felt uncertain. To date, more than 30 students have received direct educational and housing support—reinforcing our founding belief that when barriers are removed, people can move forward.

As the Foundation has grown, so has our understanding of what it truly takes to support education. Learning does not exist in isolation. Students need stable housing. Families need food security. Youth need preparation and exposure. Seniors deserve dignity and care. When these needs go unmet, the bridge to opportunity becomes harder to cross.

Today, the Miley Miller Foundation works year-round to remove those barriers—while remaining anchored in education as the pathway that connects individuals to growth, families to stability, and communities to strength. Everything we do is guided by the belief that education is not a single moment, but a lifelong journey.

We are grateful to our partners, donors, and community members who walk alongside us. Together, we are building bridges—one student, one family, one opportunity at a time.

With gratitude and purpose,

Yvette M. Miley
